MKHITAR SEBASTATSI (essay)

Mkhitar Sebastatsi was born in 1676 in Sebastia. His real name was Manouk , but when he became a clergyman he got a new name Mkhitar. He was a armenian catholic monk as well as prominent scholar . He was called as the <<second Mesrop Mashtots>>. His parents gave him a good education but they refused him to become a monk. Then he began to neighboring to one family where the members lived a monastic form of life . Later he recieved permission from his parents to work in the monastery. He began traveling and learnt everything associated with his proffesion. And soon he was forced to return to his home town walking barefoot though he was suffering from jaundice.
